The following are the detailed safety precautions for the use of children's inflatable castles:
(1)Site selection
Ground conditions:
The inflatable castle should be placed on flat, dry and solid ground. Avoid placing it on uneven, sloping ground or ground with sharp objects to prevent the castle from toppling over due to the uneven ground or being punctured by sharp objects. For example, it should not be placed on freshly plowed farmland or a site with a lot of gravel.
The load-bearing capacity of the site is also important. Ensure that the ground can bear the weight of the inflatable castle itself, the weight of the children playing on it and the possible impact force. For instance, when using an inflatable castle on the roof platform of a building, it is necessary to confirm first whether the load-bearing capacity of the roof meets the requirements.
Surrounding environment:
There should be sufficient space around the inflatable castle, and a certain safe distance should be maintained from buildings, utility poles, trees and other obstacles. Generally, it is recommended to keep a distance of at least 3 - 5 meters from buildings and fixed facilities. This can prevent children from colliding with hard objects and getting injured while playing, and also facilitate rapid evacuation in case of an emergency.
Keep it away from dangerous areas such as roads, railways, rivers and ponds. Being close to the road may cause children to accidentally run onto the road, and being close to the water poses a risk of drowning.
Weather factors:
Avoid using the inflatable castle in windy weather. Even if the inflatable castle has fixing measures, strong winds may still cause it to be blown over or displaced. Generally, when the wind speed exceeds level 4, it is not suitable to use the inflatable castle.
Similarly, try not to use it in rainy or slippery weather. The slippery surface of the castle can easily cause children to slip and fall, and electrical equipment (such as the inflator pump) may short-circuit when exposed to water and cause safety accidents.
Installation and fixation of facilities
Installation requirements:
It must be installed correctly according to the product manual. Ensure that all components are firmly connected. For example, the air inlet, air outlet and other parts of the castle should be well sealed. If the installation is improper, it may lead to insufficient inflation or air leakage, affecting the stability and safety of the castle.
During the installation process, check whether there are any damages, cracks or other conditions in the materials of the inflatable castle. Any tiny damage may expand during the use process and create a safety hazard.
Fixing measures:
Adopt appropriate fixing methods, such as using ground nails, sandbags, etc. to fix the inflatable castle. The length and strength of the ground nails should meet the requirements, and the weight and placement position of the sandbags should also be reasonable. Generally, at least 1 - 2 ground nails or corresponding weight of sandbags are needed to fix each square meter of the inflatable castle.
Regularly check whether the fixing devices are loose. Especially after using for a period of time or after being exposed to wind and sunlight, it is necessary to ensure that the fixing devices can still play an effective role.
(2)Precautions during use
Personnel restrictions:
Strictly control the number of children playing according to the size and designed load-bearing capacity of the inflatable castle. Do not allow too many children to play in the castle at the same time to avoid stampede accidents caused by overcrowding. Generally, the maximum number of people that the castle can carry will be indicated in the product manual, and this regulation must be strictly observed.
For younger children or those with significant differences in body size, make reasonable arrangements for them to play. Younger children may be injured by collisions with older children during play, so try to arrange children of similar ages to play together.
Play rules:
Formulate simple and understandable play rules and post them in conspicuous positions on the castle. For example, pushing, scuffling, jumping too high in the castle are prohibited, and bringing sharp objects into the castle is also prohibited. Meanwhile, there should be staff or guardians to supervise the children to ensure that they abide by the rules.
Teach children the correct way to use it, such as how to enter and exit the castle. Obvious signs can be set at the entrance and exit of the castle to guide children to enter and exit in an orderly manner.
(3)Equipment maintenance and inspection
Daily maintenance:
Before using the inflatable castle every day, conduct an appearance inspection to check whether there are damages, air leaks, deformations or other conditions. Check whether the inflation equipment of the castle is working properly, such as whether the power cord of the inflator pump is damaged and whether the plug is loose.
Regularly clean the inflatable castle to remove dust, stains and other substances on the surface. Use appropriate cleaning agents and avoid using chemical substances that may damage the materials of the castle. Meanwhile, make sure that the castle is completely dry before inflating and using it again.
Regular inspection:
Conduct a comprehensive inspection at least once a month, including the structural integrity of the castle, the firmness of the fixing devices, the safety of electrical equipment, etc. For the problems found in the inspection, repair or replace the parts in time.
Check the aging condition of the materials of the castle, especially for the inflatable castles that have been used outdoors for a long time. If obvious aging, fading, hardening or other conditions are found in the materials, consider replacing the castle or strengthening its treatment.
